SouthEastern Electric Cooperative
“Youth to Washington” and “Youth to Springfield”
In an attempt to introduce students to government and the political process,
SouthEastern Electric will select and sponsor two junior or senior students from high
schools in its service area on an all-expense paid bus trip to Springfield. Students
will meet elected senators and representatives at the Capitol and learn first-hand about the workings of our state government.
In addition, the group will tour the Supreme Court and other historic sites of Springfield during the day. SouthEastern Electric will also sponsor these students on a week-long, all-expense paid trip to Washington,
D.C. Students will meet their Senators at the U.S. Capitol and have lunch with U.S. Representatives while they are on Capitol
Hill. Students interested in government and the political process should pick
up an application in the guidance office. Deadline for application is Friday, March 2, 2018.

How
to Send Your ACT Scores
You can have
your ACT scores sent to other colleges and scholarship agencies after you test in addition to the ones you selected when you
registered. You can request score reports online, by phone, and through the
mail. Information on the various options and prices can be viewed at: http://www.actstudent.org/
Keep in mind that many colleges and universities require your ACT scores
be sent directly from ACT. You can look at your ACT score sheet to see if you
selected a certain college or university to receive your test scores. If you
didn’t, you may need to send your score directly from ACT.
